Our objectives.
Minster Community was established as an independent group to encourage a wider range of people to take an interest in Minster Church and its surroundings.
We are achieving this by finding new ways in which Minster can be used by the wider community beyond the primary function of worship and by providing new opportunities for people to engage with this wonderful site.
We aim to raise at least half of the annual running costs of Minster and any excess will be used for capital projects and engagement activities.

Achieved so far
Minster Community formally established the following agreement with the Parochial Church Council about our role.
Many events and activities over the past few years:-
You may have seen in Revd Robert Thewsey’s detailed article in the Spring (2016) edition of Blowhole, MCF and the PCC are collaborating on the replacement of Minster Church’s windows. The “Faculty” has now been approved and the work will start in the Autumn. This is very exciting news as not only will it prevent any further degradation of the fabric of Minster Church but will also enhance the beauty of Minster Church itself. We are delighted that this work is now in process and that our fund-raising activities will be used for such a wonderful project.
Massive thanks to everyone who has made a contribution in whatever form. Minster needs everyone’s help!
